The game remained tightly contested throughout the first quarter until junior Darby Stolz added some breathing room with a goal five minutes before the quarter's end.
The Golden Eagles came out firing in the second quarter, with Cline netting her second goal just over a minute into the period. At the 11:50 mark of the half, freshman Alyse Weber scored her first goal of the day to push the lead to 5-0. UC continued to dominate, heading into halftime with a comfortable 8-2 advantage.
