GREENSBURG, Pa. – The University of Charleston softball team split its doubleheader against Seton Hill on Wednesday, dropping the opener 5-4 before bouncing back with a dominant 10-2 victory in the second game.

How it Happened:
In the first game, Charleston (6-2) jumped out to an early lead with two runs in the first inning, highlighted by an RBI single from Kyra Gooler and a run-scoring hit from Kayla Moran. The Golden Eagles held their advantage until Seton Hill responded with a two-run homer in the fourth to tie the game and plated two more in the fifth to pull ahead. Charleston pushed across a late run in the seventh on Moran's RBI double, but the rally fell short. Gooler led the offense with a three-hit performance, while Lindsey Phares and Kaleigh Serra each recorded doubles. Chloe Elliott (0-1) took the loss, allowing four earned runs in 4.2 innings.
Charleston rebounded in the second game with a dominant offensive showing, powered by three home runs. The Golden Eagles struck early, plating five runs in the first inning, including a two-run double from Gooler and back-to-back home runs by Moran and Taylor Hodson. Serra added another home run in the second to extend the lead. Addison Mass (1-0) earned the win, tossing a complete game while striking out six and allowing just two runs on five hits.
