How it Happened:
Friday, March 14 – Game 1 vs. Glenville State

Charleston fell just short in a 6-5 loss to Glenville State despite a late offensive push. The Golden Eagles rallied in the fourth inning, highlighted by Kyra Gooler's two-run home run to left field and Bianca Polistina's two-RBI double to center. Raegan West added a double, while Kayla Moran and Lindsey Phares each contributed extra-base hits. Addison Mass (5-1) took the loss, allowing six earned runs over 3.2 innings, but Laila Varney provided stability out of the bullpen, tossing 3.1 scoreless innings.

Friday, March 14 – Game 2 vs. Glenville State
Charleston bounced back with a 7-1 victory, fueled by dominant pitching from Chloe Elliot (2-3), who held Glenville to just one run on one hit across 5.1 innings with five strikeouts. The offense exploded in the later innings, with Moran driving in two runs on a single and Polistina ripping an RBI double. Hannah Meyer and Allison Rubal each delivered key RBIs to seal the win.

Saturday, March 15 – Game 1 vs. Concord
Despite a stellar three-hit game from Phares, Charleston struggled offensively in a 1-0 shutout loss to Concord. Mass (5-2) pitched well, allowing just one earned run on six hits while striking out four, but the Golden Eagles couldn't generate the run support needed to break through.

Saturday, March 15 – Game 2 vs. Concord
Charleston's bats remained quiet in a second consecutive shutout, falling 1-0 again. Elliot (2-4) delivered a solid complete-game performance, surrendering just one run on five hits, but the Golden Eagles managed only two hits in the loss, with Rubal and Kaleigh Serra providing the team's lone knocks.

Charleston (8-6) will look to bounce back in its next matchup as it continues Mountain East Conference play.

Up Next:
The Golden Eagles will hit the road to face Ohion Dominican University in a doubleheader matchup on Tuesday, March 18 at 3pm and 1pm in Columbus, Oh. at the Panther Softball Field.
