CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The University of Charleston men's volleyball team (10-11, 4-2 EIVA) swept Thomas More (7-10, 0-5 GMAC) in straight sets Saturday afternoon at the Wehrle Innovation Center.

How it Happened:
Charleston controlled the match from the outset, winning the first two sets decisively, 25-16, 25-16, and fighting off a late rally from Thomas More to close the match with a 25-23 victory in the third.
Xander Bomert led the way for Charleston offensively, recording a match-high 17 kills with a .536 hitting percentage. Kai Cousins added nine kills, three aces, and two solo blocks, contributing significantly to the Golden Eagles' front line. Braxton Francis was efficient offensively, finishing with five kills on just six attempts for a .833 hitting percentage, while setter Luke Atkinson paced the offense with 25 assists.
Charleston's defensive effort was anchored by Deonte William, who led the team with five digs, alongside contributions from Mikolaj Daszkiewicz and Erel Bardah, who had four and six digs respectively.
The Golden Eagles return to action looking to build on their momentum in EIVA play.
