How it Happened:
The away side mustered up the first shot of the game after 10 minutes, with Francisco Rodriguez making the first save of his collegiate career. It was, however, the Golden Eagles that broke the deadlock. Martin Echarren dummied an Allan Logrillo pass to Joao Silva, who played a low cross across the area towards the back post, and Tomas Petrungaro was there to finish for his first goal of the season. Charleston had nine shots in total in the first half and went into the break ahead.
Into the second half and the first chance after the restart fell to the Golden Eagles. An in-swinging corner found Allan Logrillo whose flicked header grazed the crossbar. Charleston carried on piling on the pressure throughout the half with Denys Verbinskyi, Noah Paschalides, and Tomas Petrungaro having opportunities. The best chance of the second half came in the 85th minute when the ball fell to Jack Allan from a corner. The corner was played short, put into the area, flicked on, and Allan was there at the back post but blazed over. The game finished 1-0 to the Golden Eagles and gives them their third clean sheet in a row.
