How it Happened:
The University of Charleston men's basketball team delivered a strong, composed performance on the road but came up just short in an 80-78 loss at Frostburg State on Thursday night, December 18, inside Bobcat Arena in Frostburg, Maryland. Charleston battled from the opening tip, playing with confidence on both ends of the floor and carrying a narrow lead into halftime after outscoring the Bobcats in the first 20 minutes. The Golden Eagles' balanced attack kept them in the game throughout, executing offensively and staying connected defensively through multiple momentum swings.

Charleston's offense was led by Kaden Davis, who poured in a team-high 20-points on efficient shooting, including 4-of-5 from three-point range, showcasing his ability to score in a variety of ways against stiff conference competition. Hamilton Campbell added 15 points and Braden Chapman chipped in with 13, giving the Golden Eagles multiple scoring threats that kept them within striking distance in the second half. UC's senior leaders set the tone early, and Charleston outpaced Frostburg State for much of the first half before a second-half surge from the home team shifted the momentum. In the final moments, Charleston had a chance to pull out the road victory, but Frostburg State converted at the buzzer to secure the win.
