Seton Hill was able to put bat to ball all inning, getting a couple of singles to begin the ball game. Three runners scored and Seton Hill started the game with an advantage. UC made a dent in the Griffins lead as Samuel "Moose" Lemond led off with a triple. Collin "Cookie" Kemp was called out on a ground ball, but it was enough to Score Lemond making it a 3-1 game.
Devin Fletcher started the top of the second with a strikeout, but Seton Hill pushed through hitting a couple of singles. Similar to Charleston's run, SHU scored the exact same way with a ground out RBI. Giving the Griffons a 4-1 lead. The bats got hot for the Golden Eagles in half of the second. Abe Fenwick led off with a double to the wall and with one out Max Layne singled scoring Fenwick. Drew Lucy's had his first collegiate hit was a big one, a double down the line scored Layne, making it a 4-3 ball game! Moose Lemond came back up to the plate and singled to scoring Lucy. The inning ended with the game all tied up at 4.
Devin Fletcher was clutch in the third inning after giving up a couple of singles he forced a double play to end the inning. UC almost mirrored the Griffins inning. Hunter Howell and Andrew Kobryn singled in this inning, but it did not lead to any runs. The game is still tied at four after three.
Fletcher strolled out for the fourth inning and stopped Seton Hill's Offense quickly giving UC a chance to get ahead in the bottom of the fourth. UC capitalized on the momentum from Fletcher, as Moose Lemond smoked a two out double giving him his third hit of the game. Outfielder Trent Dosenbach followed with a single, scoring Lemond and giving UC a 5-4 lead!
Devin Fletcher was nailed in the fifth inning, having a strikeout and forcing two fly balls that ended the inning quickly. Seton Hill made a pitching change for the bottom of the fifth. Hunter Howell and Andrew Kobryn would once again have a single in the same inning, but the Seton Hill side-armer found his groove ending the inning with two strikeouts.
After Fletcher's stellar inning, William "Bumby" Van Meter got his turn on the mound. The lefty forced a ground out for our number one, but the next Griffin hitter advanced to second base with a double. Bumby then bounced back forcing a pop up to right field, but an error was made allowing the runner second to advance to third. A single scored a run, Tying the game back up at five. In the bottom of the sixth, the game continued to be the "Moose" Show as Lemond hit a solo home run and completed the cycle! His bomb gave UC a 6-5 lead!
Bumby and catcher Drew Lucy were a dynamic duo in the seventh. As a textbook strike-him-out throw-him-out double play fired the Golden Eagles up. A bullet throw from Lucy caught the Seton Hill runner stealing ending the inning. Charleston became ball magnets in the bottom of the seventh as three UC hitters were hit by pitches, loading the bases with two outs. Dame Witty singled scoring two runs giving UC some breathing room with an 8-5 lead. Moose Lemond singled once again, making him five for five on the day.
Breven Deckrosh came out of the bullpen in relief after Van Meter's Day. Despite a couple of walks, Deckrosh ended the inning emphatically with a strikeout! The Golden Eagles couldn't find any offense for the bottom of the eighth but still had a comfortable 8-5 lead going into the final inning.
Simon Bargo came into close the game in the top of the ninth, walking two which brought in Kyle "4k" Evenhus from the bullpen. After a walk and a double two runs scored and Seton hill was back in business. The decision was made that Charleston's Abe Fenwick would come in the game to pitch. Fenwick got back-to-back outs, but a single scored two SHU runners giving them a 9-8 lead going into the bottom of the ninth. UC was shut down in the bottom of the ninth, losing a heartbreaking 9-8 nail biter.

How it Happened
The Golden Eagles started a true sophomore Landon Ingram in this one. Despite a couple of runs getting on base, Ingram worked out of this inning ending with a 6-4-3 double play. Samuel "Moose" Lemond stayed hot in the bottom of the first and continued where he left off from last game, starting UC off with a single. That was all of the offense this inning as Moose UC went down in order.
Seton Hill struck first in the second inning as a walk; double and RBI single gave Seton hill an early 1-0 lead. SHU turned around and played good defense despite an error leaving the game 1-0 going into the third.
The Griffins did more damage this inning as a walk and a hit by pitch put runners on. A sac fly and a passed ball cost the Golden Eagles another run making a 2-0 ball game. Charleston still couldn't find any sort of offense in the bottom of the third, not scoring a run.
Landon Ingram completely shut down the Griffins in the top of the fourth as he would have two strikeouts and a fly out. A great three up three down innings for Ingram. Charleston could not capitalize on Ingram's greatness and went down easy scoring no runs in the bottom of the inning.
Seton Hill broke the game open in the Top of the fifth as a walk and hit-by-pitch set the Griffins up for success. The Griffins loaded the bases and scored one forcing a UC pitching change. Freshman Jay Peterson made his debut for The Golden Eagles. He threw strikes but SHU put bat to ball and scored two runs off of a single. An error brought in another, but Peterson ended the inning on a strikeout. It's now a 6-0 ball game. UC just could not find offense and just like the other innings, they did not score.
Jay Peterson had a clean top of the sixth, adding a strikeout to his total and sitting Seton Hill down in order. In the bottom of the sixth Collin "cookie" Kemp had a single but that was all as UC goes through sixth innings scoreless.
Jay Peterson had another solid inning giving UC a chance as only one run scored on a couple of hits. Ryan Comella led off the bottom of the seventh with a hit. Andrew Kobryn came up next hitting into a fielder's choice but making it to first safely. Kobryn advanced on a passed ball and then stole third. Sophomore Zach Syvertson grounded out but knocked Kobryn in. This was UC's first run of the game. This was Charleston's only run as they did not score the rest of this inning, and they lost 7-1.

How it Happened
Freshman Ethan Bechtold got his first start of the season for the Golden Eagles in game two. Bechtold filled the zone in the top of the first, but SHU returned with some base hits. A triple, double, and single brought multiple runs in for the Griffins. An Error made the game 4-0 early, and UC would have some ground to make up. Moose Lemond led the game off for UC with a triple. Logan Bradish hit a sacrifice fly which put a dent in the Griffins lead making it a 4-1 ball game.
The top of the second looked like the first for Seton hill. Timely hitting helped them score a few more runs this inning. Bechtold was replaced by Barclay, who worked out of the inning. Not before, Seton Hill put up four runs. UC went down easy in the top of the second, not putting up runs and staying in their hole.
Freshman J.P. Shultz releived Barclay for the top of the third. Shultz had a good inning, despite a hit-by-pitch. Drew Lucy helped him out by catching a runner stealing to end the inning. Seton hill made a pitching change, and it kept UC guessing. Damian Witty had a single, but that was all for Charleston.
Shultz had a really strong top of the fourth, as he picked a runner off and retired the next two. The Golden Eagles couldn't capitalize going down one, two, three when it was their turn to hit.
J.P. stifled the offense from SHU, sitting them down easily in order in the top of the fifth. Charleston got one back in the bottom of the fifth as a single from John Stansbury started them off. Max Layne walked, and Moose Lemond stayed hot with a single scoring Stansbury. It is now 8-2 SHU
Harry Lamont came in after J.P. Shultz successful outing. Harry continued where J.P. left off, putting up another zero and leaving the game 8-2. The Golen Eagles still didn't find their groove in the bottom of the sixth and went down easy.
The top of the seventh really separated SHU from Charleston. As a double and Hit-by-pitch led to a three run Bomb putting Seton Hill up 11-2. UC still couldn't figure things out in the bottom of the seventh and once again did not put up a run.
Josh "BIGJUK" Horton came into pitch in the top of the eighth inning. Despite retiring the first two hitters back-to-back. A couple of walks led to a couple of hits which led to a couple of runs. SHU now led 13-2. Charleston's bottom of the eight looked like the rest, and they once again could not find offense.
Devin Walsh came in for the final inning, and it was a good one, sitting SHU down easily. The Golden Eagles put up a fight in the last inning. They drew some free bases and Collin "Cookie" Kemp grounded out but added an RBI making it a 13-3 Ballgame. The game ended here and Charlston lost 13-3 .
