How it Happened
Charleston's Livia O'Dea scored the first bucket of the game in the night. After those two points, the Golden Eagles wouldn't score for a while as the Senators went on a 12-0 run. Noelle Polanco broke the cold spell with a three pointer that brought UC back to life. The Golden Eagles hit two more three-pointers this quarter, and they were right back in the game. After their early quarter run, D&E only made one shot. Charleston made ground up this quarter, and it ended tied at 15-15.
UC hit back-to-back threes to begin the second quarter. Jordan Scully and Bridget Womber were responsible for the go-ahead buckets. The game stayed close throughout the first half of the second quarter. Jordan Scully, a freshman, broke the game open with a three putting UC up seven. Charleston Rallied off those points, as Neveah Brooks and Kennadi Brooks had the next couple of buckets widening the Golden Eagles lead. Charleston kept the lead and Jordan Scully stayed on fire from three hitting one more big shot to close the quarter! UC led 38-26 going into the break.

The Golden Eagles picked up where they left off and torched Davis and Elkins in the third quarter. Shots were falling like rain. Ksenija Mitric had a great quarter with continued efficiency from Scully and O'Dea.Davis & Elkins had no answer for UC's offense had lots of ground to make up in the fourth. UC did not take their foot off the gas in the fourth having their best quarter yet putting the game completely out of reach for the Senators. The whole team got involved in the offense for the last quarter as Natalie Smith and Neveah Brooks had key points. Your Golden Eagles ended up with a massive thirty-point victory.

Jordan Scully had an efficient night from the field; she was 5-7 from the three-point line and led scorers with 21 points. Ksenija Mitric and Bridget Womber both had double digit points as well. Natalie Smith had 11 rebounds of her own.
