Game 1
Frostburg, MD – Charleston traveled to Frostburg on Thursday to take on the defending MEC champions.

How It Happened
Frostburg controlled the opening draw, and the first five minutes were tightly contested, with both goalkeepers making early saves. Charleston broke through first when Alyse Weber found the back of the net with 10:43 remaining in the quarter. Just over a minute later, Madison Partridge doubled the lead off an assist from Hayden Slinkard.
Following two consecutive green cards on Frostburg, Darby Stolz capitalized to give UC a 3-0 advantage. However, the Bobcats quickly responded, scoring three goals in just over two minutes to even the game at 3-3. Stolz regained the lead for Charleston with a man-up goal, but Frostburg answered again to tie it 4-4 at the end of the first quarter.
The Bobcats carried that momentum into the second quarter, scoring three times in the first six minutes. Partridge halted the run with another goal off a Slinkard assist. After forcing a turnover, Partridge helped spark another UC goal, this time finished by Emilee Franklin. Frostburg responded with two more goals before Weber scored late in the half, sending Charleston into the break trailing 9-7.
Charleston came out strong in the second half, tying the game within two minutes thanks to goals from Stolz and a free-position strike by Weber. From there, however, Frostburg took control, closing the third quarter on a 5-0 run to build a 14-9 lead.
In the fourth, Sylvi Jenner scored just 20 seconds in, but Frostburg quickly answered and extended its lead to 18-10. Stolz added one final goal for Charleston, assisted by Jenner, but the Bobcats closed the game with two more to secure a 20-11 victory.
Game 2
Charleston, WV – The Golden Eagles returned home Sunday morning to face MEC opponent Wheeling University at the Welch Athletic Complex.

How It Happened
Charleston won the opening draw, but Wheeling jumped out to an early 3-0 lead with 11:21 remaining in the first quarter. Following a green card on the Cardinals, Elise Collins put UC on the board. The game remained tight for much of the quarter before Charleston's offense surged late. Collins, Alyse Weber, and Darby Stolz scored three quick goals, each following draw controls by Madelyn Hillman, who delivered a standout performance.
The Golden Eagles carried that momentum into the second quarter. After a saved shot by CJ Cook, Partridge and Collins scored twice in less than 15 seconds to extend the lead to 6-3. Wheeling responded with four goals to briefly reclaim the lead, but Charleston closed the half strong with four unanswered goals—two from Mahlina McFadden and two from Weber—to take control.
UC continued to build its lead in the third quarter. Jenner opened the scoring with a man-up goal, followed by a free-position goal from Stolz. Wheeling managed two goals, but Charleston answered with three more from Jenner, Partridge, and Stolz to take a 15-9 lead into the final period.
Wheeling attempted a comeback with two quick goals to start the fourth, but Charleston responded emphatically. Partridge scored twice, while Jenner and Stolz each added a goal—once again fueled by Hillman's dominance on the draw. Wheeling added one late goal, but Stolz's fifth of the game capped a 20-12 victory for the Golden Eagles.
Madelyn Hillman finished the game with an impressive 24 draw controls.
