Washington, Pa.- Golden Eagles split the series against the Point Park Pioneers.
Game 1
The Basics

How it Happened
This game between point park and charleston was a classic pitchers duel. Breven Deckrosh of UC and Ramon Rodriguez of PPU combined for fifteen scoreless innings. Deckrosh was dominant in his seven innings, only giving up three hits all game while having fivew strikeouts and only two walks.
Ramon Rodriguez on the other hand had 7 strikeouts walking none and only giving up two hits. Both pitchers put Record their teams in a position to win the game.
PPU would walk the game off as as soon as they got Deckrosh off the mound they proceeded to score. A walk off hit by pitch ended the game for UC and point park won the game 1-0.
Game 2

Score: UC 3, PPU 1
Records: UC 8-19(5-5 MEC), PPU 13-9 (6-4 MEC)
How it Happened
UC got on the board in the very first inning of this game. As Andrew Kobryn Doubled and was advance to third by Moose Lemond. Collin "Cookie" Kemp grounded out but not without scoring Kobryn making it a 1-0 ball game.
The game became a stalemate however after this as Sophomore Landon Ingram was nails for UC Ingram threw three scoreless innings. Charleston did not score during this time either and the game remained 1-0. A pitching change was made as Sam sheets entered the game for Landon Ingram in the bottom of the fourth. He picked up right where Ingram left off and posted a scoreless bottom of the fourth inning.
The Golden Eagles finally put up another run in the top of the fifth on Max Layne's second home run of the season. Right after Dame Witty doubled to left field putting him on second base. Collin Kemp would have his second RBI of the day scoring Witty giving Charleston a 3-0 lead. Point Park got one back in the bottom of the fifth as they hit a couple of singles making it a 3-1 game.
PPU tried to Rally the troops at the end getting some runners on, but J.P. Shultz would not have it. He shut down point park for the last two innings giving UC a 3-1 win.
