Lock Haven, Pa.- The #4 ranked University of Charleston Golden Eagles travelled to Lock Haven, PA this past Sunday for a non-conference match up with #23 Franklin Pierce.

How it Happened:
The first chance of the game fell to the Golden Eagles with just six minutes on the clock, as Tomi Petrungaro was found on the edge of the area, but his tame effort was easily collected by the Ravens goalkeeper. Samuel Marquez also had an opportunity but a great block from a sliding defender forced a corner. It was a tight affair in the first half, and a big opportunity for the Ravens passed them by as a shot from the penalty spot didn't find the target, following a cutback down Charleston's right hand side, and that ended up as their only effort of the first 45. The two sides headed into the break scoreless.
Into the second half the cagey affair continued, with neither side managing to create clear cut opportunities. A big Franklin Pierce chance went begging with six minutes to go as a cross came in from the right-hand side, but the center forward couldn't keep his header down from five yards out with the goal gaping. Less than two minutes later, Allan Logrillo beat his man down Franklin Pierce's left and was brought down on the corner of the penalty area. He then stepped up to put an out-swinging delivery towards the back post, where Samu Montes was waiting. His acrobatic effort hit Dudu Rodrigues on the back, and his inadvertent touch diverted the ball into the Ravens net to put the Golden Eagles one to the good with just three minutes to go. One minute later, the Ravens were down to ten men as Alberto Rodriguez was struck in an off the ball collision, and Charleston saw the game out to extend their winning run to seven without defeat, whilst adding their fifth consecutive clean sheet.
