University of Charleston Athletics

Blatchford enters his second year on staff at the University of Charleston. 

Prior to joining the coaching staff at UCWV, Blatchford served as the Hitting Coach at Ohio Wesleyan University in 2018 & 2019 seasons. While at OWU, Blatchford also managed the team's strength & conditioning program.cIn the summer of 2019, he served as the Hitting Coach for the Southern Ohio Copper Heads in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League.  

Blatchford played at Ohio Wesleyan University from 2015-2018. An outfielder, Blatchford earned All Conference honors in 2016, 2017, and 2018, and All Region honors in 2018. Follwing his time at Ohio Wesleyan, Blatchford spent the summer of 2019 playing professionally for the Gary South Shore RailCats in the American Association.

In his role, Blatchford will also oversee the development of the program’s outfielders. Blatchford is TPI - Level 1, TPI Fitness - Level 2, and OnBaseU (Hitting) certified.
