University of Charleston Athletics

Cabrera enters his second year on staff at the University of Charleston, after serving as the Defensive Coordinator during the 2020-2021 season. In his role, Cabrera’s primary responsibility is to oversee the development of the hitters and also serve as the Infield Coach for the Golden Eagles.

During the summer of 2021, Cabrera served as the Hitting Coach for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots in the Alaskan Baseball League. During his time, he helped lead the Glacier Pilots to their first league championship in 8 years.

In 2020, Cabrera served as the Hitting Coach for West Orange High School. The team was off to their hottest start in school history going 8-1 before an abrupt end due to COVID-19. 

A 2015 graduate of Bishop Moore Catholic High School (FL), Cabrera was a 4-year starter at DII Florida Southern College. As an infielder, Cabrera collected over 200 hits in his career and ranks 8th in school history in games played. 

Cabrera is OnbaseU (Hitting) Certified. He is currently pursing his Master’s in Strategic Leader from the University of Charleston and will graduate in May of 2022.
