Kyle Rigney Will be entering his 2nd season at the University of Charleston as the Offensive Line Coach for the Golden Eagles.

In his first season mentoring the group, the Charleston Offensive Line paved the way for a historic season. Rushing for over 3,000 yards as an offense and giving up less than 10 sacks, the OL established dominance on their way to the first undefeated season in School History along with all 5 starters earning All-Conference honors up front. All the while, they created holes for Harlan Hill Runner Up RB Chavon Wright who rushed for 2,235 yds and holds the new NCAA Single Season record for Rushing Touchdowns with 38. Under his guidance during the 2024 season, the OL earned the following accolades; AFCA & D2CCA 2nd Team All-American, Don Hansen Honorable Mention All-American, D2CCA All-Super Region One 1st Team & MEC 1st Team All-Conference Tackle Donovan McCollister, D2CCA All-Super Region One 2nd Team & MEC 1st Team All-Conference Guard Nick Tinajero, MEC 2nd Team All-Conference Tackle Will Belongia, MEC Honorable Mention All-Conference Center Ethan Wolford, & MEC Honorable Mention All-Conference Guard Steve Hall. Overall the OL Group helped establish the #3 3rd Down Conversion % Offense (53%), #4 4th Down Conversion % Offense (74%), #8 First Downs Offense (290), #3 Rushing Offense (3,249 Yds, 52 TD’s, 5.5 YPC, 270 YPG), #7 Total Offense (5,636 Yds, 73 TD’s, 469 YPG), and the #4 Scoring Offense (43.9 PPG) in the Country during the 2024 season.

COACHING HIGHLIGHTS
Spent the 2023 season at McNeese State as an Offensive Line Quality Control Coach. While there, Helped mentor SLC 2nd Team All-Conference Guard Cole LeClair, along with FCS Stats Perform Freshman All-American Tackle Hayes Creel.

Spent the 2021 & 2022 seasons at Bridgewater College as the Offensive Line Coach. Mentored 2x ODAC 2nd Team All-Conference Guard Cole Cooksey as well as 2nd Team ODAC All- Conference Tackle Glory Nseka. OL Group Finished 35th in the Country giving up 11 sacks over 10 games in the 2022 Campaign.

Spent the 2019 Season at Lake Erie College as the Offensive Line Coach. Mentored GMAC Honorable Mention All-Conference Tackle Ibrahim Kanu. In a single season, the Offensive Line Unit improved in Sacks Allowed from 2018 Season which was 163rd (58) to 105th (24) in the country.

Spent the 2018 Season at Shorter University as the Offensive Line Coach. Started 5 True Freshmen up front. In a single season, the Offensive Line Unit improved in Sacks Allowed from 2017 season which was 129th (29) to T-29th (14) in the country

Spent the 2017 season as the assistant Offensive Line Coach. Mentored both 1st Team CAA All-Conference & All-American Tackles, Jahee Jackson & Aaron Stinnie. Aaron is currently entering his 7th Season in the NFL with the New York Giants.

PLAYING HIGHLIGHTS
Five year member of the James Madison Football Team. Walked on, earned a scholarship, and then played 30 games at the Center position.

Starting center for JMU’s 2016 national title team, as part of an offensive line that set JMU and CAA single-season records in scoring (700), rushing offense (4,125), total offense (7,612) and first downs (380). He earned a bachelor’s degree in sports and recreational management in 2016.
