Clara Bissell comes to Charleston after 3 years of playing experience at Rome, Georgia’s, Berry College. After a career as an attack specialist tallying 42 career points, Clara was forced to undergo knee surgery, effectively ending her playing career. She completed her English degree on a fast track and made the decision to continue her education immediately, enrolling in the MBA program at Charleston.

Clara began coaching in high school, working with the youngest age group of the Collier County Lacrosse Association, instilling crucial fundamentals and a love of the game in dozens of elementary aged girls from across Southwest Florida. That initial introduction to coaching was what inspired Clara to pursue a career in coaching. In the years since, she’s coached youth leagues, high school teams, camps, and clinics in both Naples, FL, and Rome, GA. In her spare time, she cheers for her sister, Anna, who plays for the Lenior-Rhyne University women’s lacrosse team.
