Melanie Rizzotti is entering her second year with the Golden Eagles, and first year as Head Coach. In the 2021/22 season, Rizzotti was the assistant coach for the women’s lacrosse program. The team finished with a 6-9 record falling in the first round of the MEC Tournament. As assistant, Rizzotti helped coach, One ALL- MEC first team player, Freshman of the Year, as well as three ALL- MEC Second Team Players, and an All- MEC Honorable mention player. 

As a Washington native, Rizzotti was an All-Conference Mid-fielder, leading in draw controls. She continued her playing career at Whittier College in Southern California.  While at Whittier, she was a four-year letter winner of the Division lll Women’s Lacrosse Team. She achieved academic recognition as well as a spot on the SCIAC Conference Team. After receiving her BA in Sociology and Business Administration, she continued her education at The University of Charleston where she graduated with her Master's degree in Business Administration. Rizzotti is passionate about growing the game of lacrosse, and empowering women through sport.
