Urbana, Ohio - Maurice Leak (Waxhaw, NC/Parkwood) accounted for five touchdowns as Charleston (5-3) downed Urbana (2-6) 44-34. The Golden Eagle quarterback rushed for 195 yards and three scores, while completing 5 of 9 passes for 223 yards and two touchdowns.

Andre Higgins (Cincinnati, Ohio/New Richmond) had touchdown receptions of 31 and 57 yards and ended with a game-high 187 receiving yards on only four catches. Lamonte Lattimore (Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods) added 40 rush yards, including a 7-yard touchdown, on his four rushes.

Urbana jumped to a 13-0 lead after one quarter on a pair of D.J. Mendenhall touchdown passes. The Golden Eagles took the lead for good late in the second quarter at 14-13 on Leak's 20-yard touchdown rush. UC went on to lead 21-13 at intermission and 30-26 after three quarters.

Leak's second touchdown pass of the game to Higgins pushed the UC advantage to 37-26 early in the fourth quarter. A 33-yard Evan Gehlert to Matt Hightower strike brought the homestanding Blue Knights within 37-34 with 3:09 to play, but Leak put the game on ice with a 52-yard touchdown sprint on UC's first play after recovering an onside kick.

Charleston limited Urbana to minus-four yards on the ground, while gaining 274 rush yards. Urbana quarterbacks Gehlert and Mendenhall combined to hit on 32 of 55 passes for 407 yards.

UC possessed a 497-403 edge in total offense.
