Last Season's Meeting: Charleston quarterback DaRante Hunter rushed for 72 yards and passed for another 102 as the 15th-rated Golden Eagles (6-0, 4-0) defeated host Fairmont State (1-5, 1-3) 37-7...Hunter rushed for a touchdown and passed for two more on the day as two early fumbles by the Falcons set up scores for UC...Aaron Higdon rushed for a 12-yard score and caught a six-yard pass on a slant from Hunter for a second TD...Hunter also hit Tyler Bass on a 43-yard scoring strike in the fourth quarter...Bakari Beard rushed for a career-high 84 yards...Fairmont State was led by Doug Brazill's 60 rush yards on 13 carrries...J.J. Mayer connected with Stephan Johnson for a 13-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter for the Falcon score.

The winner will get back to the .500 mark overall when Fairmont State and Charleston meet in a battle of 2-3 squads...FSU has only lost six turnovers to date and the Falcons rank second in the WVIAC in scoring defense...DB's Greg Underwood (8, 2nd), and Dewey McDonald (7, 4th) rank among the league's leaders in passes defended...K Frank Keenan has converted on five of six field goal tries...KR Zack Page is second in the league in punt return average (10.9 ypr) and third in kickoff return average (23.4 ypr)...QB Logan Moore stands fifth among WVIAC players with 179.6 yards of total offense per game...Charleston QB Maurice Leak completed 19 of 31 passes for a career-high 276 yards in last week's loss to Shepherd....He narrowly missed breaking Corey Isner's single-game UC record of 286 yards passing that was set against West Virginia Wesleyan in 2005...Five Golden Eagles have rushed for 138 or more yards in 2010...Lamonte Lattimore averages 9.5 yards per rush and has three touchdowns on the ground this season...LB Craig Kampfer owns a team-best eight tackles for loss...Charleston has won three straight in the series and has limited Fairmont State to 23 points during that span...Both teams have excellent punters...FSU's Ben Landis is tied for the WVIAC lead at 41.0 yards per kick...Charleston's Wes Sherrill is third with 40.7 yards per boot.
