CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Former University of Charleston speedster Aaron Higdon (Palmetto, Fla./Southeast) has signed a free-agent contract to play in the National Football League with the Detroit Lions, Sunday evening.
The 5-8, 190 pound sparkplug played put up some impressive numbers for the Golden Eagles and showed he is a legitimate breakaway threat.
Higdon led the nation (Division I and Division II) with a whopping 9.9 yards per carry picking up 659 yards on 66 attempts. He also ranked 25th nationally in Division II in All Purpose yards with 1,447.
