Charleston took a 2-1 lead after doubles with strong wins at the 1^st and 3^rd positions. 2^nd Doubles lost a hard fought match 8-6. In singles 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd singles went quickly to Bluefield while 5^th and 6^th singles went quickly to Charleston. This left Senior Matt Hughes as the lone remaining match entering the 3^rd set with the match score tied at 4-4. Hughes pushed the 4^th singles player from Bluefield all the way to the finish but ended up on the losing end by a score of 6-3, 2-6, 7-5. Final match score was 5-4.
