CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The University of Charleston men's tennis team pulled off a tremendous 5-4 upset Friday night against Bluefield State at the Charleston Tennis Club. 

Bluefield came in ranked second in the Atlantic Region, while Charleston was ranked fifth. 

The Golden Eagles played aggressive doubles and swept all three doubles matches to take an immediate 3-0 lead.  The most impressive of the doubles wins was the comeback victory of the second doubles tandem of Rico Williams (Cincinnati, OH) and Matt Sherba (Oxford, OH).  After getting down 7-4, Williams and Sherba ripped off five-straight games to win the match.  In singles play, Eric Bodge (Washington, WV) made quick work at the number six singles for the fourth point. 

The fifth and deciding point was won in an outstanding performance by Sherba who won a decisive third set in the No. 2 singles.
