SHEPHERSTOWN, W.Va. - The University of Charleston split a doubleheader at Shepherdstown. UC took the first game 12-6 but the Rams bounced back in the nightcap 11-2.

The Golden Eagles took advantage of seven Shepherd errors in the first game, collecting four unearned runs. Jake Ciolfi (1-1) picked up the win, surrendering six runs on seven hits with one walk and two strikeouts in 41/3 innings.

In the second game, Shepherd struck for five runs in the first inning and six in the third. Christian Turnipseed (0-2) took the loss for UC (6-22, 3-13 WVC), surrendering 11 runs on 10 hits with five walks and five strikeouts in 22/3 innings.
