Box Score
CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Pitt-Johnstown brought more energy to the gym as they took a 3-0 win over the University of Charleston volleyball team by scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-18, Friday evening in WVIAC play.
Charleston (8-12) struggled for much of the night to overcome their own errors as sloppy play allowed the Mountain Cats (10-6) to gain early leads in all three sets, which they would maintain throughout. UPJ attacked for over 20 percent in every set, while UC couldn't find their swing never breaking 13 percent hitting.
For the night,
Malleri Hardison (Uniontown, PA) paced the Golden Eagles offensively with 10 kills, while
Victoria Severo (Meadville, PA) followed close behind with a great performance of eight kills on a .545 hitting percentage.
Kelsey Eby (Portland, OR) booked 28 assists on the evening.
The University of Charleston returns to the court tomorrow afternoon (Saturday, Oct. 13) for a 1:00 pm contest against conference opponent Shepherd.
