JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - The No. 9 ranked University of Charleston men's soccer team booked its fourth shutout in the last five games with a powerful display of offense on the road at Pitt-Johnstown, Thursday evening.

The Golden Eagle (7-0-2) defensive effort made an easy day for All-Region goalkeeper Sean Teepen (Cincinnati, OH ) by limiting the Mountain Cats to only four shots in the opening half, only two of which required Teepen to make a save on. Those two shots would wrap up the effort in front of the net for the remainder of the day.

UC held a 15-4 shot advantage in the first half yet couldn't get on the board, yet a 10-0 shot lead in the second half proved to be plenty with Charleston finding the net twice.

Renan Ramos (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) provided a perfect pass in front of the net to Brett Elliott (Newcastle, England) in the 66th minute, which Elliott drove home from the top of the box for the first mark of the contest. The visitors gained their second goal of the game when UPJ blocked a ball back into their own goal while trying to fend off the ferocious offensive onslaught of UC.

Charleston returns home for a pivotal regional matchup against Mercyhurst on Sunday, Oct. 7 for a 3:00 pm contest.
