CHARLESTON, W.Va.- The University of Charleston swept all three doubles matches as they easily handled regional opponent Mercyhurst 8-1, Friday evening.

Samuel Humphrey (Watford, England) led the way for the University of Charleston taking the No. 2 single 6-1, 6-2 over Jorn Vanderveer.

Kyle Barrett (Cincinnati, OH) and Nicholas Bakos (Potomac, MD) wrapped up clean slates (6-0, 6-0) in wins at the No. 4 and No. 6 singles positions. Dennis Okoth (Nairobi, Kenya) nearly joined Barrett and Bakos as he grabbed a No. 3 singles win 6-0, 6-1.

Outside of their victory in the No. 1 slot Mercyhurst put up its toughest battle in the No. 5 singles slot. Eric Bodge (Washington, WV) prevailed for the Golden Eagles using three tie breakers to take a 6-4, 7-6 win.
