CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The University of Charleston men's tennis team grabbed its second victory in as many days with a 9-0 defeat of Centre College, Saturday afternoon.
Matthew Sherba (Oxford, OH) led the way with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 performance in the No. 1 singles position.
Samuel Humphrey (Watford, England),
Richard Williams (Cincinnati, OH),
Gabriel Seymour (Chillicothe, OH) and
Andrew Jarrett (Charleston, WV) each won straight set victories in singles play.
Dennis Okoth at the No. 3 position was the closest match of the contest dropping his second set 4-6 before rebounding with a 10-8 win to secure the clean sweep of Centre.
Charleston returns to the court on March 5 at 3:30 pm against Kanawha Valley rival WV State at home.
