The men's team played their best match of the season against perennial power West Virginia Wesleyan College. The team started slow dropping two of three doubles winning at #1. Despite facing adversity, the Golden Eagles flourished picking up five of six singles matches. Sam Humphrey evened the score up at 2-2 winning 6-0, 6-0 at #2. Shortly after, Wesleyan went ahead 3-2 with a win at #4. Three matches then went to the deciding third set. University of Charleston players Matt Sherba (#1), reigning WVIAC Player of the Week James Gammell (#3) and Jake Lorenze (#5) all won to put the match away dropping Wesleyan 5-3 (6-3). With the win, the Golden Eagles improve their record to 7-3. Coach Santen said, "I give a big part of this victory to Tim Mayo our conditioning coach who has put our players in top physical shape."
