The Golden Eagles struck fast dropping Shaw and Winston Salem State 5-0. Against Shaw, UC took #1 and #2 doubles 8-5, 8-2 with #3 doubles forfeiting for an easy point. In singles Dennis Okoth won 6-2, 6-1. To close out the match Rico Williams took his opponent to the brink and forfeited. 

Man of the Match: Matt Sherba

Winston Salem State put up more of a fight but still fell 5-0. #1 doubles proved to be a tough match going the distance before Humphreys and Okoth could squeak out 9-8 (6) victory. At #2 doubles Sherba and Williams fought a tight match but won 8-6. #3 doubles of Gammell and Seymour easily handled their foes 8-0. Needing only two points in singles, Sam Humphrey and Jacob Lorenz won quickly in two sets 6-1, 6-2; and 6-2, 6-2 respectively.
