Box Score Beckley, W.Va. - Charleston and Concord played even for seven innings, before the Mountain Lions broke open the game with four late runs to win 5-1, sending UC to the elimination bracket.

Concord and Charleston traded runs in the third inning before Concord pitcher Kevin Mack and Alec Austin threw three consecutive scoreless innings to take a 1-1 game into seventh inning. The Mountain Lions broke the tie in the seventh when Groves singled home junior first baseman Joey Miller, who led off the inning with a single.

CU added three additional insurance runs in the eighth starting with Wenger's RBI-hit followed by Blevins' two-run hit that extended Concord's lead to four runs at 5-1.

Austin went 7.2 innings, allowing five runs on 11 hits with two strikeouts. Ryan Foster was 3-for-3 with one run scored.

Charleston returns to action Friday morning at 9:30 am to face Seton Hill again, a team Charleston defeated Thursday by a score of 16-14.
