Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The University of Charleston women's softball ran its winning streak to nine games Monday as they defeated Edinboro University of Pennsylvania twice by identical scores of 9-1. 

Charleston, recorded 18 hits in the double-header led by sophomore Kelly Browning with three hits, three runs scored, and six runs batted in.  Senior Jackie Carlin went two-for-six at the plate with four runs scored as Charleston pushed 18 runs across on the day.  Out of the leadoff spot Andrea Hayes went three for six with three runs socred as the Golden Eagles move to 10-3 on the season.

On the mound UC had its way with the Fighting Scots as Courtney Fain, Morgan Aquirre, and Abby Nicholas recorded 24 strikeouts while scatter just five hits and two runs in 11 innings of work. Fain and Aquirre picked up the victories for Charleston.

UC will be back in action Friday, March 14^th, as they take on Cal Pa and IUP in Salem, VA in the Atlantic Region Challenge.
