CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The University of Charleston picked up their second win in as many days Saturday afternoon defeating the University of Virginia College at Wise 9-0 at Schoenbaum Courts.
The win improves the Charleston overall record to 7-5 and keeps their undefeated Mountain East record intact at 3-0.
The Golden Eagles started the match strong sweeping all three doubles matches, surrendering just four total games. The duo of Davey Nelson and Gabe Seymour blanked their Cavalier opponent 8-0 to set the tone for the day.
Charleston remained on their roll into singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets to easily come away with the 9-0 win. Varun Shah had the most dominating performance in singles, defeating Jimmy Stewart from UVa. Wise 6-0, 6-0.
UC travels to West Liberty next Friday for another MEC matchup.
