Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Institute, W.Va. – Samantha Herndon's five hits including three homeruns, five runs scored, and five runs batted in, helped lead the Golden Eagles to a double-header sweep of cross-town rival West Virginia State University by scores of, 9-4 and 9-1. 

Courtney Fain and Morgan Aguirre each picked up wins in the circle as Aguirre scattered four hits and struck out seven in just five innings of work for her seventh win of the season.  Fain who moves to 8-3 on the season battled tough as the Yellow Jackets put together eight hits but managed runs in just two innings. 

UC pounded 24 hits in the double-header led by Herndon and Jenna Evans who was 4-for-7 with four runs batted in.  Kelly Browning had three hits, scored three runs, and drove in three on the night as well.  Senior Hailey Tretick scorched her third homerun of the season a towering solo shot over the scoreboard in centerfield. 

Charleston moves to 15-9 on the season and 3-3 in Mountain East Conference play.  The Golden Eagles are back in action Saturday as they take on West Liberty University in West Liberty with first pitch set for 1P.M.
