Box Score 2 CHARLESTON, W.Va. -Â The University of Charleston women's softball team pounded out 26 hits and scored 21 runs en route to a double-header sweep of Malone University, 15-5 and 6-1 Saturday at the UC Softball Complex.Â
Charleston saw multiple hit games by seven different players on the afternoon, they were Katelyn Hamilton, Jenna Evans, Andrea Hayes, Allison Evans, Hailey Tretick, Kelly Browning, and Jackie Carlin. Crossing the plate came often to UC led by Hamilton's four runs scored and Hayes, Browning, and Carlin adding three each during the double-header. Tretick and Browning each hit their first homeruns of the season giving Charleston thier first two of the season. Â
In the circle the Golden Eagles saw all three hurlers see action with Courtney Fain and Morgan Aquirre each picking up wins.Â
Charleston moves to 6-3 on the season and is back in action tomorrow at 1P.M. as they host Queens University of Charlotte.
