CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The UC Men's Tennis team set up a date with West Virginia Wesleyan College tomorrow at 1pm for the Mountain East Conference Men's Tennis Championship after beating Concord University 5-1 today in the MEC Semifinals.
After doubles the Golden Eagles held a 2-1 match advantage, winning on the No. 2 & No. 3 doubles courts. Nick Bakos and Davey Nelson finished nearly simultaneously to put UC up 4-1 in the match, taking the No. 5 & 6 singles courts. Dennis Okoth then put the nail in the coffin by winning on the No. 3 court to advance Charleston into the finals of the inaugural Mountain East Conference Men's Tennis Championship.
Tomorrow's finals will be held at 1pm at the Schoenbaum Courts in Kanawha City.
