Box Score CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Bluefield State College didn't have a chance on Wednesday, as the Golden Eagles won in blowout fashion, 10-3, at Appalachian Power Park

UC scored five runs in the fourth on an RBI single by Tim Rein, an error, an RBI single by Brad Johnson, a passed ball, and a sacrifice fly by Mike Hoeft.  Rein reached base four times. He scored two runs and had one RBI.  Joseph Shiflett looked sharp on the rubber. Bluefield State College managed just four hits off of Shiflett, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his five innings of work.

Ridge Sibold couldn't get it done on the hill for Bluefield State, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed four runs.

The game's last lead went to Charleston thanks to a second inning rally that saw four runs cross the plate on a sacrifice fly by Robert Collin and three singles.

Charleston's record improves to 10-13 overall after the win.  UC faces MEC opponent Concord University this weekend for a four-game series set to played at Appalachian Power Park.
