Box Score 2 CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The University of Charleston women's softball team got back on track with a double-header sweep of Ohio Valley University by scores of 11-0 and 4-0. UC who moves to 21-11 on the season saw Morgan Aguirre and Abby Nicholas pick up wins for the Golden Eagles. Courtney Fain pitched three hitless innings of relief as UC picked up its fourth and fifth shutouts on the season.
Offensively for the Golden Eagles in game one saw 11 runs on nine hits including Kendal LeFrancois third homerun of the season. Katelyn Hamilton, Rachelle Toppings, and LeFrancois each recorded two hits apiece in the game. Game two saw a limited number of base-runners just eight as the Golden Eagles picked up six more hits on the day including extra-base hits by Samantha Herndon, Hamilton, and LeFrancois.
Charleston is back in action Thursday as they head to Athens, WV for a MEC double-header against Concord University previously scheduled for April 5
th. First pitch is set for 5P.M.
