ATHENS, W.Va. – The Golden Eagles let an 11-point lead with nine minutes remaining slip away in a 69-66 loss to Concord University Monday evening in the Carter Center.

The Mountain Lions' Rob Reed canned a 3-pointer with one second remaining on the game clock as Concord outscored Charleston 20-6 over the final nine minutes to complete the comeback victory against the Golden Eagles. Reed scored 25 to lead all scorers but it was his final basket that propelled Concord to the win and remain unbeaten this season at 4-0.

The loss puts the Golden Eagles a game under .500 at 2-3 overall and 1-1 in Mountain East Conference play. Tino diTrapano scored 16 for UC in the loss while Justin Coleman pulled down 12 rebounds and chipped in nine points.

Charleston returns to the court on Sunday, Nov. 29 in Richmond, Virginia as they take on Virginia Union University in an in-region game and look to get back to .500
