URBANA, Ohio - The University of Charleston Men's Basketball Team bounced back after a tough loss Saturday with a 78-62, victory over Urbana University, at the Warren G. Grimes Center.
Leading by three at the half Charleston (17-9, 12-8 MEC) stretched its lead out 10 with just over 10 minutes remaining in the game.  UC's 67-percent from the floor allowed them to stretch lead to 16 and hold that same margin of victory. Defensively the pressure was added as well as Urbana shot just 36-percent in the second half compared to 49-percent in the first half.
On the night for the Golden Eagles, Tino DiTrapano led all scorers with 16 points. He added five assist and five rebounds, while Vince Dillard continued to be a force off the bench with 11
points in just 19-minutes. Chris Evans and Javonte Hughes added 10 points apiece for UC.
Urbana (6-20, 3-17 MEC) used a balance attack to stay in the game with Mike Newton and Carlas Jackson leading with 13 points. Newton added a team high five steals on the night. Matt Csuhran added 12 points and Myles Busby chipped in 10 points. Â
UC is back in action Saturday as the host Notre Dame College with tip slated for 4pm.
