Charleston, W.Va. - The University of Charleston's Women's Volleyball team were victorious Friday evening against Concord University. The game ended after four sets. UC came out strong in the first two sets, winning 25-20 and 25-21, respectively. Concord then came back with a heavy start to the third, utilizing a strong middle hitter to take set three 25-20. UC answered back with vigor, winning 25-15, and maintaining a 12 point lead for the majority of the set.Freshman Mia Herrod again showed out for the Golden Eagles, earning 15 kills and three blocks. Randi Estrada earned 12 kills, and Payton Logan cleaned up with 11 kills, 3 blocks, 6 assists and 17 digs.
Concord's Brooke Heck swung for 13 kills, and Erin Shannon earned 28 digs throughout the match.
UC will be taking on WV Wesleyan College on Tuesday in Buckhannon, WV.
