URBANA, Ohio - The University of Charleston Women's Volleyball team was victorious in their match against Urbana University Tuesday night, winning in four sets (25-19, 25-17, 17-25, 25-22). The Lady Golden Eagles jumped out to a two game lead, and after Urbana pushed back in the third, UC was able to close the match in the 4th.

UC was lead offensively by Shiann White with 16 kills and a .351 hitting average. Carly Granger added to the kill tally with 9 kills. Defensively, Kelsey Matusic put up 20 digs, while UC put up a team high 18 total blocks, Jordan Wittekind being a part of 14 of them. Claire Lambert tallied 25 set assists in the win.

The Lady Golden Eagles are back on the road this weekend with more MEC Conference matches against Fairmont State University and Shepherd University.
