Weirton, W.Va. - The University of Charleston Men's Golf Team headed to Williams Country Club for the MEC Fall Classic. Scores for the weekend were low all around thanks to perfect conditions and a leisurely course. Host West Liberty led the tournament on both days and went on to take the title, while Shepherd University placed second on days one and two. The Golden Eagles finished day one in third and caught up to Shepherd on day two to finish in a tie for second place.

West Liberty's Mike Rogers was the individual medalist, finishing -5 with an overall score of 139. Shepherd's Joe Burkinshaw took second at -3 with 141 and West Liberty's Cory Hoshor was third at -2.

Viktor Pustwo shot one under par, leading the Golden Eagles with a score of 143. Cody Kotva tied for seventh place +1 with 145. Justin Westveer tied for ninth (146, +2), Lewis Fenn tied for 18th (153, +9) and Brett Harvey finished 45th (164, +20).

The Golden Eagles finish the Fall season at the MEC Championship October 10th-12th at Glade Springs Resort in Daniels, W.Va.
