WHEELING, W.Va. -- The UC Women's Volleyball team got its retribution Thursday afternoon against conference foe Concord in the quarterfinal round of the MEC Tournament. The Lady Golden Eagles won the match 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-16) to advance to the semifinals.Â
UC was led by a strong hitting performance from Carly Granger who had 14 kills on 24 swings with only 1 error. Shiann White was close behind, tallying 13 Kills on 22 swings with 2 errors. Jordan Wittekind also had 8 kills, with no hitting errors. Chloe Massaro and Claire Lambert helped the offense with 22 and 20 set assists, respectively. On defense, Kelsey Matusic had 13 digs for UC, and the team had 6 total team blocks.Â
UC will be back at the McDonough Center tomorrow evening, taking on Fairmont State in the Semifinals of the MEC Tournament. First serve is scheduled for 5 p.m.Â
