URBANA, Ohio – The UC men's basketball team continues its hot streak as it defeated Urbana 116-96 on the road on Thursday evening in a Mountain East Conference matchup.
 
Elliott Cole erupted for a season-high 36 points while also adding eight assists and five rebounds. Cole finished the evening 12-23 from the field while going 8-9 from the free throw line.
 
Shaq Speights also had a big night, tallying 27 points and grabbing five boards. Justin Coleman recorded a double-double against the Blue Knights, going a perfect 5-5 from the field for 15 points with 12 rebounds.
 
The Golden Eagles finished the night with a 58.3 percentage from beyond the arc and convereted 28 of 39 free throws. UC held a slim advantage in rebounds at 33-32 and forced Urbana to commit seven turnovers.
 
Charleston improves to a perfect 6-0 overall record and 3-0 mark in league play with the win. Urbana is now 2-4 overall and 0-3 in the MEC.
 
UC returns to action on Saturday, December 3 on the road as they face Notre Dame College with tipoff slated for 4 p.m.
