WHEELING, W.Va. – The Golden Eagle men's tennis team pulled off a 6-3 upset of the #2 ranked team in the Atlantic Region, West Liberty University, Saturday evening to remain unbeaten in the Mountain East Conference.
Â
Charleston, which hadn't won a doubles court in each of the last two matches, rebounded to pick up wins at #1 and #2 doubles and grab an early 2-1 advantage of the Hilltoppers. The difference in the singles matches was UC's high fitness level and fight, winning all four matches that went to to a third set. UC senior Jake Lorenz clinched the match with his three-set win at #5 singles.

UC (9-7, 5-0 MEC) returns to the court Monday in another Mountain East Conference match with Concord University in Athens, W.Va.
