Buckhannon, W.Va. – The University of Charleston Women's Lacrosse Team dropped their third straight conference match to West Virginia Wesleyan with a 20-6 decision. The Bobcats, the 2015 MEC championship runner up, showed experience and poise as they sailed past the Golden Eagles. The Golden Eagles, now 1-9-0, traveled to the conference rival Bobcats April 15th for a 12pm start time.

The Golden Eagles looked to come out strong against the Bobcats in Friday's match. However, the Bobcats began their scoring rally early in the first half. The Bobcats led the half with a score of 12-3. Three Golden Eagles would contribute tow goals on the day. Aryanna Jones (Shaker Heights, OH), Nicole Purcell (Cortland, NY) and Peyton Harris (Lockport, NY) would be the Golden Eagles' scorers.

"Not our best showing," said Coach Smith. "We knew going into this game that it was going to be a dog fight. A lot of plays got away from us, and it ultimately affected the outcome. Wesleyan is a great team, and we look forward to playing them again next year."

The Golden Eagles (1-9-0), hit the road again to travel to Wheeling Jesuit. The game is set for 4.17.16. First draw is set for 1pm.
