The Golden Eagles were not able to take advantage of two consecutive solid starts by Junior Adam Jafine and Senior Tyler Shreve as they were bested by scores of 5-2 in 10 innings in game 1 and 2-0 in game 2.

GAME 1 WVWC 5-UC 2

UC jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning on RBI singles by Austin Hathaway and Logan Valentine.  The Bobcats would answer with single runs in the 3^rd and the 5^th; however the Golden Eagles were unable to produce the difference making run in regulation, sending the game into extras.  The Bobcats offense would get to Junior Luke Yingling for 3 runs in the top of the 10^th and proceeded to shut the door on UC in the bottom of the 10^th.

Junior LHP Adam Jafine threw 7 and 1/3 innings while allowing 8 baserunners and striking out 8.  Austin Hathaway collected 3 hits, while Anthony Brunetti and Zach Gunter each had 2.

GAME 2 WVWC 2-UC 0

Two WVWC sac flys would prove to be the difference in the pitcher's duel between UC's Tyler Shreve and WVWC's Riley Metz. 

The UC offense scratched out 4 hits in Metz' dominating pitching performance.  Tyler Shreve threw a complete game allowing 8 baserunners and striking out 7.
