CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Upon the completion of a suspended game from March 5th with the Alderson Broaddus Battlers (14-9) that ended in a 12-2 loss, the Golden Eagles (7-16) squared off again on Tuesday afternoon at Triana Field.
 
The Golden Eagles jumped out to a convincing 6-0 lead after three innings, only to be held scoreless over the next five innings.  Brice Arrington scored two runs along with driving two runs, as he reached base four times in the extra inning affair.
 
Kaleb Kinder kept the Battler hitters off balance over the first six innings (6 IP, 7 H, 2 ER) before giving way to Luke Yingling, who was tagged with the loss after surrendering five runs in 1 1/3 innings of work.  Jack Brunetti worked 2/3 of an inning of relief.
 
The Golden Eagles return to MEC Conference play this weekend, when they host West Liberty University of Friday and travel to Wheeling Jesuit University on Sunday.
