LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The University of Charleston Women's Volleyball team was back in action Saturday with two matches against Stonehill College and California University of Pennsylvania. These two matches marked the end of their play in the Angela Miele Memorial Tournament, and the Golden Eagles finished the tournament with an overall record of 2-2.Â

In the first match, Charleston took care of business against Stonehill College, defeating them 25-16, 25-20, 25-20. Senior Jordan Wittekind led the offensive attack with 10 kills on 16 swings. Sophomore Chloe Massaro put up 12 assists, while Claire Lambert and Carly Granger each had 10 digs a piece.Â

In the second match, Charleston was defeated by California, with a score line of 25-16, 25-22, 25-19. Sophomores Megan Mourier and Tori Clark had 7 and 6 kills in the loss, respectively.Â

Charleston will be back on the court next weekend, when they head to California University of Pennsylvania to play in the Vulcan Invitational. They will face Cal U and Winston Salem State Friday the 9th, and Adelphia and Davis and Elkins on the 10th.
