WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – Charleston men's basketball lost their second straight game to a top-10 ranked team this week, following a 94-62 loss to No. 4 West Liberty University at the ASRC on Thursday evening.

The Hilltoppers took a huge lead into half, doubling up on the Golden Eagles by outscoring UC 48-24 through the first 20 minutes before cruising to the 32-point victory. It marks consecutive games in which Charleston has allowed their opponent to score 94 points after holding their two previous opponents to under 50 points each, both wins for UC. The Golden Eagles were dominated on the glass and in bench scoring, proving to be the difference in UC's defeat.

Despite the blowout loss, Justin Coleman turned in a solid performance for the Charleston scoring pulling down eight rebound, blocking two shots, coming up with two steals to go along with 16 points.

UC (9-3, 3-3) will now face the No. 2 ranked Fairmont State University Falcons on Sunday from Fairmont, W.Va. This is the three consecutive games that Charleston has faced a top-10 opponent to open the new year.
