The Golden Eagles started slowly Saturday afternoon, falling behind the Rams 1-0 after Shepherd easily claimed the opening set 25-21. UC found their rhythm in the second set behind career-high blocks from sophomore middle

Jessica Sunnenberg to rally for three consecutive sets and pick up a four-set victory over the Rams.
Shepherd's Amanda Snowden led the match with 19 kills while Charleston's Granger finished the match with 14 respectively. Granger went on the finish the match with 14 kills, 15 digs, four blocks and two aces. Sophomore libero
Kelsey Matusic led the match with 23 digs while VerVelde's career-best eight blocks was the match high. After struggling through the first set, UC went on to hit over .275 for each of the three final sets and finish hitting at .252 with 55 kills.
Shepherd's Jessica Karcz led all players with 38 assists on 59 Ram kills, while
Chloe Massaro registered 24 assists respectively for the Golden Eagles.
Claire Lambert followed close behind with 19 but also came up with a career-best six kills from her setter position.
